About Us

The OFFSHORE WIND ENERGY Foundation was founded in 2005 on the initiative of the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU). The coastal states and all economic sectors involved in offshore wind energy were also involved. The aim of the foundation is to consolidate the role of offshore wind energy in the energy mix of the future in Germany and Europe and to promote its expansion in the interest of environmental and climate protection. It has established itself as a non-partisan, supra-regional and independent institution to support offshore wind energy in Germany and Europe.

To strengthen our Hamburg office, we are looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) for press and public relations in the “German Offshore Wind Initiative GOI” project funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate (BMWK). In cooperation with the World Forum Offshore Wind eV , the foundation supports German offshore wind companies in their export efforts to Taiwan, Japan and the USA as part of the project. GOI maintains close cooperation with the stakeholders of the markets and organizes events of various formats in the sense of active networking.

Your tasks

  • PR management support
  • Writing texts for newsletters, print materials and online content
  • Editorial support of the project website
  • Database maintenance (Excel) and research activities
  • Support for events such as trade fairs, networking events and webinars with an international audience

your profile

  • Studies in media or communication sciences, business or scientific communication, communication design or comparable
  • Confident language skills and fun writing texts
  • confident handling of MS Office
  • Strong communication skills, ability to work in a team and enjoyment of working independently
  • Interest in renewable energies, especially offshore wind energy

The position is to be filled immediately and is limited to December 31, 2023. Working hours are agreed individually and flexibly and are up to a max. of 14 hours per week. An increased number of hours during events or trade fairs is possible. If there is mutual interest, continued employment within the framework of other projects of the OFFSHORE-WINDENERGIE Foundation would be possible.
